UPI In Flipkart Bank
Flipkart, one of India’s leading e-commerce companies, introduced its own Unified Payments Interface (UPI) service called PhonePe in 2016. PhonePe is a separate entity but was acquired by Flipkart in 2016 and operates as a subsidiary.
PhonePe is a digital payment platform that allows users to make payments, transfer money, pay bills, and perform various financial transactions using the UPI system. UPI is a real-time payment system in India that enables individuals to link their bank accounts to a mobile application and make secure payments using a Virtual Payment Address (VPA).
How To Add UPI In Flipkart Bank Account
Open the Flipkart App
Launch the Flipkart mobile app on your smartphone. Make sure you’re logged in to your Flipkart account.
Access Your Account
Tap on your account icon or your profile picture in the top right corner of the app’s home screen to access your account settings.
Payment Settings:
Look for the Payment or Payments option in your account settings. This is usually located in the My Account or More section of the app.
Add a Payment Method
Under the payment settings, you should see an option to “Add a Payment Method” or something similar. Tap on it.
Select UPI
You should be presented with a list of available payment methods. Look for “UPI” or “Unified Payments Interface” and select it as your preferred payment method.
Link Your UPI Account
Follow the on-screen instructions to link your UPI account. You may be asked to enter your UPI ID or scan a QR code to link your UPI account to Flipkart.
Verification
Depending on your bank and UPI service, you may need to verify the linking process using an OTP (One-Time Password) sent to your registered mobile number.
Confirmation
Once your UPI account is successfully linked, you will receive a confirmation message, and UPI should now be added as a payment option in your Flipkart account.
Set as Default (Optional)
You can set UPI as your default payment method if you prefer it to be the primary payment method for your Flipkart transactions.
Make Payments
Now, when you proceed to checkout on Flipkart, you should have the option to select UPI as your payment method and complete your purchase.
